Quick access to System Preferences isn't gone

On a related note -- those newer Apple keyboards no long designate F7 as a toggle for display mirroring/extended desktop modes -- but you can still do that toggle without going into the Displays Pref panel; just hit Command+F1.

Nice! I tried plugging in an external monitor on a Hackintosh Netbook and it worked it extended desktop mode but displayed garbage when I switched to mirror mode, so knowing this key combo would have saved me a bit of literally blindly clicking around in an attempt to switch back to extended desktop mode.

I also thought I'd mention that just hitting the Play/Pause media key (F8 I think) with no modifier will launch iTunes (unless another open application is using the Play/Pause key).

Also worth noting, you will need to hold down the fn key for all these shortcuts if you have flipped the setting in Keyboard preferences.
