No,the only difference is that with
defaults delete com.apple.helpviewer DevModeyou erase the setting from com.apple.helpviewer.plist (the file where it's stored) and with defaults write com.apple.helpviewer DevMode -bool Falseyou only deactivate it but you don't delete the line from the plist file. I like the first way because it's cleaner but you can use whichever you like.

There is another difference. If Apple changes the default to be non-floating, you will get the new behavior if you delete the item, but if you set it to false, it will always remain non-floating (assuming they also keep the option). |
