Extract audio from Flash video

as far as i can see, my preferred method isn't listed here.

1. download the video from youtube in MP4-format (!), then you don't have to re-encode and lose quality. if you don't know how to download, google for safari extensions for youtube, you'll find it

2. open up the mp4 in quicktime 7 (!), press cmd + j, then you get the window with the sound and video tracks, mark the sound track and click on "extract" (dunno the exact wording, i have the german os version open right now)

3. the track will open up in a new quicktime window. save it as quicktime movie, change the ending to .m4a, and if you want, pull it into itunes

works for me, even with iphone/ipod/ipad sync and airplay-streaming

enjoy!
