As far as downloading the .flv file itself, you can open Activity in the Safari Window menu, then copy whatever item address is downloading as the video plays, then paste that address into the browser window and enter; it will download---though you may have to append .flv to the file.

You can always then open with Quicktime 7, open movie properties and extract the audio. Works just fine for me.

Option-click (or option-double click or something) on an item in the activity window will download it; no need to copy and paste.
