iPad Charging
Someone told me about the iPad saying 'not charging' when plugged into their computer, and I was confused since I've never seen this. I plug mine into the back of my iMac and I'm pretty sure it shows that it's charging regardless of whether I'm syncing (and the other night I plugged the USB in to bring it back to life after the battery died and as soon as it came back on I went back to the game I was playing and I played for about an hour.) I can't imagine the USB on my iMac is any more powerful then that on a Mac pro...
iPad Charging
Yes. Yes it is. The laptops run off the batteries (even when plugged in). The USB ports have slightly less power. The exception may be the Air b/c it was redesigned to power Apple's external DVD burner.
iPad Charging
I assumed the iMac might give a little more power than the MacBook Pro, but the OP said this also applies to his Mac Pro.
iPad Charging
My iPad connected to my MacPro (3,1) shows the little battery charging symbol quite happily - and that's with all 5 USB ports in use. My iMac (11,3) does the same. |
