MacOSXHints 2011 Monthly Best Hints Contest
I like to always have a Finder window open but since I often have as many as 10-15 windows open at a time, it's sometimes hard to find my Finder. Of course I could click on it in the dock but I usually hide the dock. So here's what I do. I open a Finder window, go to the View menu and click on Show View Options. Down at the bottom of the menu is the heading Background and you just click on the color square to select a bright background color. Once the background is the color you like, expand the window so it's really large. Then no matter how many windows you have open, you'll always see a corner of your brightly colored Finder window peeking out someplace on your screen. ---

That's kind of a neat hint. I'm always having to cycle through all my finder windows (Cmd-`) and watch the screen carefully to find the one I want.

That's correct. I'm not planning on going through the comments to pull new hints for the contest. |
