I must be missing something...
What am I missing here? When I set the preference to "iPhoto" (which is what it is by default), select image(s) in iPhoto, use share by email, take the Classic template, and mail off the result, how is this different from using the Mail app to send the photo(s)? You get to choose the file size just like with Mail, but you also get many additional templates you don't have in the normal email client. To me, this hint explains how to have fewer options when emailing photos, hence my question: what am I missing?

What you don't get within iPhoto are all the other features of your email client (which might not be Mail.app, by the way). Including, but not limited to: The CC and BCC fields; not being limited to a tiny text box for your message; and sending plaintext instead of HTML formatting. OK, that makes sense, but it has nothing to do with the reasons given by the OP (i.e., inability to specify the size of the attachments). Anyway, thanks for the clarification.

Yeah, I think the submitter probably missed the new Classic template, as I did. |
