iPad: Indirectly save a file from iWork to Dropbox

If you do have a MobileMe account AND sync your iDisk, you can just put the Dropbox folder on your iDisk instead of in it's default location, and then upload stuff from iWork on the iPad directly to it. Files placed in it from the iPad won't appear for others who share your Dropbox folders until iDisk syncs down to a desktop, but at least there's no additional manual steps or other apps needed.

Of course that does beg the question; why use iDisk AND Dropbox (I have good reason, but not everyone will do), but the point is you CAN upload directly to your Dropbox folder from iWork if you do.

I guess the same applies to any webDAV server so long as your Dropbox folder can reside on a local copy of it.

A cloud based file storage solution makes more sense than a local documents folder to me, on the iPad, because I'll never have enough room on my iPad for everything I want access to. That said, to have both would be great, as would access to all file types on an SD card or external drive (not just pictures), using the camera connection kit.
