How to change the nav bar colors in iWeb-created sites

there's another way to do this...

choose 'show package contents' for your domain file (~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain). Inside there's a folder called 'domain-###.....' which contains your sites. Navigate into the site you want to change. Inside each folder there are either more folders (for sub-pages, like albums) or an xml.gz file. It's the xml.gz that you want. Decompress the gz file to get the XML. Open in text edit. Do a find and replace for >< so that there's a page break between each line of code. Then search for navbar until you find the big block of code with the colors. Replace the colors you want to change, save, then rezip with terminal (gzip /path/file). Voila!

You'll need to redo this for each page, but once you've changed it the changes stick.
