Automate sending attachment in Thunderbird

I also prefer Thunderbird, but the 'compose' command doesn't work for me if Thunderbird is still running (Mozilla Bug 469990). For a service that works for me if TB is closed or running, see: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=606918
And for a PDF Service, see: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=606919
Both of them make use of "open -a". But, keep in mind, "open -a" currently only works with TB trunk builds or with a own build that contains the patch from https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=287345

I can confirm that the PDF Service linked to above (at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=606919) now works 'out of the box' with stock Thunderbird, no patching or special build required, with the caveat that it only seems to work if TB is already running.
