Recover from a problem with an Apple update

I don't agree that this hint is a bad hint. Simply put, it is not uncommon for an OS update through Software Update to break something. That's why you should always download and run the combo updater instead of using Software Update, which is what the person did to fix the problem.

Recover from a problem with an Apple update

That is not what he said that he did. He said that he installed a Security Update, plus the update for Safari to 5.0.1. Then he says that he had to install the Mac OS X Leo 10.5.8 Combo update over the top of his broken system to get his internet connection to work properly.--- Dah•veed |David Allen| Monterrey, NL, Mexico
