Restore the old iTunes icon
Authored by: SwissMac on Sep 04, '10 06:15:53AM

The whole of the new look of iTunes 10 is very Microsoft like. I believe it is an attempt to appease Windows users but is ruining the uniform visual impact of a Mac. Turning the traffic light dots vertical is bad, but messing with the icons is just unnecessary. Removing the colour is stupid. I didn't switch from a PC just to have Apple recreate in iTunes the nightmare of what Microsoft calls design.

Sadly, Microsoft users who cite all those difference that Macs have to PCs as reasons for not buying them may be misleading Apple to believe that changing these things will persuade these frequently fanatical PC users to buy Apple gear: it won't - usually they hate anything to do with Steve Jobs with a vengeance. IMO pandering to their needs is just a way to destroy a good system.

Maybe Microsoft are paying an Apple designer to mess things around so they can compete?
