Prevent disk auto-mount while logged in
Authored by: tobyvoss on Jul 29, '10 02:02:35AM
The fstab way only works if you already know the disk's UUID or label. I want to prevent/readonly-mount ANY arbitrary new disk.
E.g. when someone gives me data on a USB-stick, I don't want Spotlight to write an index to that volume, nor Finder to create .DS_Store files, nor any (meta-)data at all to be altered on that volume, thank you very much.
