Add custom wallpaper to iPhone 3G with iOS4

While it is true that you can use jailbreaking to install pirated software, it's pretty inaccurate to declare it the same as cracking software.

Jailbreaking allows you to install software from sources outside the iTunes Store. Some of the things jailbreaking makes possible: Custom wallpapers, custom icons, extra settings, quickly accessible toggles for things like wireless and Bluetooth. It was also the only way to organize applications into folders rather than having them spread across 48 pages before iOS4. And if you want to use your iPod / iPhone as a diagnostic tool for deploying wireless access points, you have to jailbreak it so you can have information beyond "no bars, one bar, two bars, three bars".

It's your hardware. Being able to install the software of your choosing on it shouldn't carry negative connotations just because Apple doesn't want you to.
