New logic board for older G5 iMacs with bad capacitors

Here's a new scenario for you: 17in G5 iMac - Logic board replaced and covered under the extended warranty. It happened to fail a few weeks before the 3 year period ran out luckily and Apple took care of it with no problem. The iMac ran fine up until a couple of weeks ago and then it wouldn't boot - grey screen of death. I opened up the back of the iMac and I can see bulging/leaking capacitors. These are the "new" style capacitors (they have a K on the top). So the motherboard was replaced, but now the new motherboard with new/different caps has the exact same issue. I took it to a Mac Genius and he told me that it can't be covered as they only offer a 90 day warranty on replaced items. I am going to call Apple Care today and see what they have to say.
