Interesting find to add to the original hint. I've kept going between the normal list view stacks and this option, but in the end I prefer normal list view because it expands to show full filenames and it doesn't try to load icon previews and so tends to look better.

This option even at the smallest size shows the awesome dashed outline icons for which OS X has been famous since stacks came about, and especially since snow leopard. Also with HD root as a stack this causes icons in the Applications folder to not load properly - all jagged until you zoom within that folder in the stack.

Anyway, cool that new stuff like this is still showing up. If there were a way to fix the bug with nested sorting in snow leopard stacks that would be great :).
