10.6: Install Canon printer drivers in Snow Leopard
Authored by: Randman on May 02, '10 05:38:46PM

Well after hours of trying to install the Canon MP 620 driver on her Mac book with snow leopard I finally figured it out!!
I successfully had installed this driver on my MBP months ago, but couldn't remember exactly how I did it. It took me hours the first time as it doesn't work as it's supposed to.

The secret?? go to the website and install the latest drivers, I know there are 4 pieces of software with very poor descriptions as to what they are, I just installed all of them, it still doesn't get you working.

2. Go to your printer and fax settings in preferences.
3. Click the + option at the bottom of the box or list of installed printers. Make sure the printer is on
4. Select the default choice at the top of the window whether it is going to be the default or not This is the KEY!!!!
5 select the Canon MP620 series (00.xxxx....) which should show up in a few seconds Kind should read canonijnetwork
6. Ciick add it should then come up with a dialogue and add the printer dialogue. Finally!!!
I hope this helps save you many hours.
