Extract a complete ISO from an encrypted DVD

Very out-of-date advice: Fairmount is specifically useless against Sony's ARccOS protection.
http://www.metakine.com/products/fairmount/faq.html#faq1

ARccOS is said to protect 'over 380 million DVDs' of 'over 2500 titles'
http://www.arccos.com/opencms/opencms/sites/eu/en/Products/Copy_Control_Solutions/ARccOS.html

Fairmount is OK to rely on for old DVD5s; but anyone unwilling to waste 15 minutes per failed rip & intending to backup their present-day encrypted DVD9 is best advised to invest in MacDVDRipper Pro [competent: roughly equivalent to Winworld's DVDFabDecrypter] or Ripit [just about adequate].

Mactheripper is unreliable [if free] & expensive & unreliable if bought for the $50 sought by its developer for a running beta.
