Extract a complete ISO from an encrypted DVD
Thanks for this. A couple of years ago I started using a HD media server to watch most of my movies and to keep space down, I sometimes convert the DVDs to another format. I was just about to delete Fairmount because I downloaded it once and couldn't remember why or how it worked. I've always used Mac the Ripper though it hasn't always worked successfully.
OT: Just curious; Why am I getting a notice that "New users' comments are held for human review to prevent comment spam."? I've been posting here for years.

I've always used Mac the Ripper though it hasn't always worked successfully.Which version? MTR 4 has worked flawlessly for me and supports ISO image output. I had more failures when testing Fairmount relatively recently, especially with newer titles. There are too many variables to claim any single ripping software/method is clearly superior for everyone. What works reliably for some people will find a way to fail for others. When one app fails it's convenient to have others to try. |
