Yeah, I'm all for Bean, but I don't think you want to open a Word document in Text Wrangler. Sure, it will open it up, but it's going to have a lot of garbage characters mixed in with the actual text.

If you're thinking just getting plain text out of a Word doc, use the strings command in the Terminal, pipe it and cat it out to a text file.
