Use true full-screen browsing mode in Firefox 3.6
Authored by: OverZealous on Feb 11, '10 08:10:48AM

I've been running the beta of 3.6 on my netbook hackintosh just for this reason.

Another awesome thing about 3.6 is they finally are supporting multiple monitors and window positioning correctly. I've always used my second monitor (sans dock) for Firefox, but 3.5 and earlier would start up leaving a gap at the bottom of the screen where the Dock would be. FF would also tend to restart in the original location, even if I shut it down from a different monitor.

Now, 3.6 properly handles both monitors, remembers where to open, etc. It's a great improvement for us multi-monitor Mac users.

Another trick: if you add the full-screen toolbar button beside the address bar (right-click on the toolbar and choose Customize), you can toggle between full-screen and normal with a single button. All of the buttons on the address toolbar are accessible in full-screen mode (just mouse to the top).
