10.6: Avoid a screen sharing problem with Windows PCs

this was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much.

i tried RDC for mac to connect to windows 7 but it doesnt work. So I got CoRD and it worked like magic, but for my own reasons, I needed a VNC instead- even though its slower. So I installed VNC on windows and then started using Chicken of the VNC but it doesnt have many options. Then i read I could just use the vnc viewer (screen sharing) bundled with my mac. And I am always in favor of using things I already have. And I love it. Still not many options but it works. The main option I wanted was to zoom out. Simple I know but COTVNC doesnt have that. I entered vnc://ipofwindows:port into safari, then dragged the favicon to my desktop and gave it a custom icon. Then of course, switched it to only 32bit mode. Now I'm lovin' it, my way.
