Play a retro video game in VMware Fusion 3

It shouldn't matter -- just hold down the four modifier keys, then press and release V. You should hear a beep, and the new VM should open. I tested in Fusion 3.0.1, but I also did this in 3.0, so I know it works in both (it won't work in earlier versions, though).

Hmmmm. I have 3.0.1 and I've tried the key combo as described. I hear the beep, but nothing happens.

Using a early 2009 unibody MacBook Pro.

I know it's just an Easter egg, but I'm curious by nature.

I've asked my contact at VMware about this; he's investigating (as he said it should work everywhere), and if I get any info, I'll post it.

Same her--beep but no joy--until I tried it after shutting down my existing/running virtual machine.

For those receiving a "beep" when trying the key combination, go to the File menu and select "New...", then try the key combo while the Create New VM screen is up.
