About duplicate contacts and calendars on iPhone 3.0

The above solutions didn't do it for me.

Managing/Deleting calendars from the MobileMe browser-based calendar.

Go to:

All of your calendars will be listed along the left side of the page, including any duplicates.

Click on the name of each duplicate calendar.

Then, from under the Action (gear icon) menu in the header bar, select 'Delete.' Confirm when the warning pops up.

I don't know how those duplicates got on my cloud. They did not appear on my Mac, but they were there on my iPhone and the browser-based calendar. This fixed it for me.

Phew. This was annoying the crap out of me.

Despite having MobileMe set to sync once per day in System Prefs, it would still sync every 15 minutes (and, I don't know about you, but MobileMe syncs bring my system to a craw)l. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why. Assumed a corrupt preference file, a bug, etc. I logged out of my account from within System Prefs and back in. I wiped my data and pulled it down from the cloud. Nothing.

In iCal, select 'Get Info' on any subscribed calendars. In the resulting window, adjust the Auto-refresh interval to your desired time. One or two calendars were set to sync every 15 minutes. This setting, apparently, overrides whatever global setting you enter for MobileMe in System Prefs.

Problem solved.

A twofer!

I've been using this Mac outlook 2011 and encountered lot of problems. Outlook does not sync all of my contacts and calendars with iCal. This deal breaker for me. My Gmail contacts were duplicated when I have it synced.I have hundreds even thousand of contacts duplicated. But still I'm very thankful, I have found Scrubly. I truly appreciate an accurate address book each time I go to look up a contact.I have read also their blog on How to sync properly for Mac. Hope this will also help who will encounter the same problem. =)
