10.6: Work around an iWeb and Pages crash issue in 10.6.2

Howdy, Snow Leopard has changed several fonts from the dfont format to the ttc (true type collection) format. This includes Hoefler Text and Gill Sans as well as several System level fonts, e.g. Helvetica Neue. These fonts have given rise to problems in several programs. I wouldn't change out any of the System level fonts but I've take the Hoefler Text.dfont and GillSans.dfont from a 10.5.8 system placed them in a Temporary (Apple will fix the problem?) folder in my personal Fonts folder. Problem solved for those fonts for now. WAIT--- one of the suggestions on the Apple Forum given above was to do a Safe Boot (holed the Shift key down while booting) and then reboot normally. This clears several system caches. Right now it appears that things are running ok. ---
Good Luck,

Howdy,

I don't know what happened to all my nice spacing when I edited my entry but the relevant information added by the edit (and then edited by me again :-)) is:
