Move BBedit 9's Documents drawer to the left side
I vaguely remember a post by a Barebones support guru explaining how to get what you want with a simple click.
I just tried discovered again how to achieve what you want in TextWrangler.
I expect this to work in BBEdit.
In stead of just clicking on the drawer icon in the top right window corner, do a Command+mouse-click on the drawer icon when the drawer is showing and you will see something to your liking. And it sticks.:-)

That works, thanks. And yet, it's just one more reason why I much prefer Smultron. Hiding functionality like this behind an undocumented Command-click is just silly. They already have a contextual menu on a gear icon on the drawer itself; why not just include a "Toggle Side" option there?

I agree that something like this really shouldn't be hidden.

Came here to post the same command+click tip. I'm sure I read about it somewhere -- maybe in the release notes for whatever update added that feature. |
