10.5: Enable momentum scrolling for Magic Mouse in 10.5
I discovered an easier way to enable scroll with momentum on my MBP running 10.5.8. I simply put the machine to sleep and when I wake it up, voila momentum is enabled. I haven't replicated this on another machine but it's worked the last few times I've tried, each and every time. I discovered this on accident when my daughter thought she was doing me a favor by shutting the lid on my machine...she thought it was asleep but it was just the screen that was asleep. When I opened the lid to continue working I was surprised with the different behavior as I scrolled down a page. It even works in vertical scrolling within the virtual machine. Can someone try this and let me know if it works for them too? My morning routine now is start up the mac, put it to sleep, wake then work. Edited on Nov 17, '09 07:08:23AM by 59er9er
10.5: Enable momentum scrolling for Magic Mouse in 10.5
Day 4 of trying the sleep then wake technique and I couldn't get it to work. I knew it wouldn't last :-) So I just followed the instructions running the line in Terminal to enable momentum scrolling and it works great. This will save me a few minutes a day, awesome. |
