Add media to iTunes 9 automatically via Finder

Yet another nonsense feature. Is there any way to get rid of it? I don't want iTunes to do
anything apart from playing music, least of all creating folders where I don't want them.

Not sure if it can be disabled/deleted, but I don't think iTunes will ever create anything outside of your iTunes library folder. Plus I don't think it will create anything as long as you never manually copy stuff into the 'Automatically Add To iTunes' folder. If you don't want the 'Automatically Add To iTunes' folder, you could try simply deleting it and seeing if it comes back.

The folder reappears with every iTunes startup and my iTunes folder is the desktop,
so this is pretty annoying. But, I have found a solution: I have Hazel running on my
machine and applied a rule which puts this folder to the trash as soon as iTunes
creates it. :)
