Finder sort files by date modified not date opened
Authored by: jacobwegelin on Oct 27, '09 09:56:43AM

Using command f I can see all files and directories under a given directory which satisfy certain criteria. For instance all files containing "my_weird_text_1993-09-23-14:43:02".

By a mouse click, I can sort the results by filename or by the date they were most recently opened. This means that if I have not modified a file since 2007, but I opened it yesterday in a text editor merely to copy some text out of it and then close without re-saving, it shows up with yesterday's date.

How can I instead sort the results by the date they were most recently modified?
