10.6: How to see summary Get Info data for multiple files

Just to head off confusion: This is similar to, but not the same as, Show Inspector, which has been Command-Option-I (⌘⌥I) by default for as long as I can remember.

The change in SL seems right in line with Apple’s creeping Windows-style UI changes lately: consistent logic, whether a feature is actually useful or not. Show me one Mac user who would not call it a bad accident (if not a bug) to get 100 Info windows on the screen with one keystroke.

I would agree. In my view the switch from 10 to 100 is a bug. My guess? Somehow an extra 0 got into the code. Personally I think the limit should be 5.

Close them all in keystroke: Opt-Cmd-W (⌥⌘W).

Ah, the Alt and Cmd symbols don't really work.

We're still working on the character set issue. Some progress has been made, but we need to test a bunch of stuff before committing a mass change on the main site.
