Use one iTunes 9 library from two Macs at once
Authored by: welshbaloney on Oct 17, '09 01:44:15PM

Anyone comment on implications for syncing iPhone?

I.e., I maintain all my iTunes media and iPhone management from my iMac, but would be nice not only to be able to manage iTunes from my Macbook Air but also sync my iPhone via my Macbook Air to the shared iTunes library...

Thanks

Welshbaloney thats a nice point! That would be really nice. Can someone test?

I think that iTunes9 is not the same thing because of the "Add to iTunes" functionality.
If the library is in a shared network disk, you can just add to that folder in a symlink and it would add, and update the iTunes. The question is, would it update all machines reading the library simultaneous ? That would solve the problem of the "writing".
Any clues?

Thanks,
Nuno
