10.6: Use 'special' keys in screen sharing
Authored by: tofergregg on Oct 14, '09 06:11:28PM

I submitted a hint about this a couple of days ago, but I figured I'd post it here in case anyone stumbled across this thread. The "fix" I use to get back to my local mac via the keyboard (leaving the mouse in place on the remote system) is to click the power button on my Mac. This brings up the "Are you sure you want to shut down your computer now?" menu, and puts the focus back on your local mac, with local-mac mouse access. I then simply move the mouse to where I want it, or I use cmd-Tab to get to another window. Then I close the shut-down menu and I'm all set.
