10.6: Move message in Mail via a keyboard shortcut

I created an account here just for this reply... there are few apps that truly and fundamentally alter my daily workflow, but the one that I absolute cannot live without is MsgFiler (yes, it's spelled like that).

Think quicksilver for Mail. It takes the currently selected messages in mail, brings up a window that matches agains (and here's the important part) a partial, non-contiguous string and then moves the message there (optionally marking the message as read).

I'm a hierarchical filer. I have a lot of folders. I've tried tags but folders still work best for me. If you have lots of folders in Mail.app, I encourage you to check out MsgFiler. Without I can't get close to an empty inbox, but with it I can keep things pretty well cleared out.

Note that the other important point for me is that the developer keeps it updated. A snow leopard version was available pretty much immediately with the release of SL. If this app every goes away I will cry (manly, inside crying, but cry nonetheless).

Great! That's what I needed!
Downloaded, installed, tested, cheered, paid!

I am also user of Mail Act-On, but MsgFiler is a great companion, if not a replacement - at least for my needs.

Seconded -- MsgFiler is just what I needed. And like tinb I downloaded, used, liked, and bought. Well worth $8. Not sure I'll be needing Mail Act-On anymore.

Thanks very much for the recommendation.
