Use Airport Express as ethernet to wireless bridge
Authored by: jdc5683 on Sep 30, '09 09:48:17AM

I have what may be a more complicated situation. I have a Slingbox AV in the living room, with the desire to watch television on my iMac in the den. The iMac is connected to a wired DSL modem. Because it's in an old house, I can't run wires all over the place, so connecting to the Slingbox must be done without the spaghetti.

I already have an AirPort Express in the living room so that I can use my AirTunes feature (music from the den's iMac played through the stereo in the living room).

Someone told me I must get a router which, when paired with an AirPort Express, could make all this work, but beyond that I have no clue how to establish the settings or anything. I need some help to make sure this Slingbox doesn't morph into a paperweight. The help on Sling's online (and phone line) support has not been useful. Can anyone help?
