10.6: Be careful ejecting disk images with installers
Well, I am sure that I am not the only person who takes advantage of the fact the Mac OS X will not let you eject a disk or disk image if a file on it is open. If you don't want the disk image anymore, you can just try to eject the image and see if it works. If it does, then you are fine, otherwise, you know that you have something open on it.

I'm not dragging it to the trash to determine if it is still running. I am just ejecting it without going through the steps first to make sure that everything on it is closed, as Mac OS X will not let me do it if something is open anyway. |
