please clarify
i do not understand your first paragraph.
Clarification and wish
Sorry it took me so long to see your post. Clarifications:
1. TheMarksman and I were used to being able to click iTunes' green button with another app in front in order to both bring iTunes forward and switch to the mini player, all with one click. My workaround addresses his specific complaint: Press the mouse on the green button and hold it, then add the Option key, then let go the mouse, then let go the Option key.* This makes it work as it used to, and as you say it's necessary only in the one direction. 2. By "back" I meant expanding from the mini player back to the regular window. It might have been clearer if I had replied directly to TheMarksman, above, but I also wanted to post the 2nd paragraph generally. What I really always wanted is for the green button not to bring iTunes forward at all, but just zoom the window in the background, the way the red button closes the window without bringing it forward. This would be useful especially when iTunes is set to float the mini player on top of other windows. * (This 4-step click is similar to a technique I described in a comment to this hint.) |
