Fix a potential issue with NETGEAR routers and Bonjour
Authored by: stauf on Sep 08, '09 05:19:31PM

This is a very old thread; but it's the first result for "Netgear Bonjour", so I'll post what fixed it for me:

Netgear routers ship with RIP turned off -- in LAN IP Setup (this is on my WGT624 v3 but should be very similar on other routers) set RIP direction to 'Both' and RIP Version to 'RIP_1'.

I'm not sure this is related but I had a recurrent, sporadic and very annoying problem with OSX 10.4 losing the connection with the Netgear router. Couldn't browse it, couldn't ping it. Disabled ipv6 in System Prefs following this post and (fingers crossed) it seems to have worked.
