Smart Playlists needs one more feature so so bad.
Authored by: bsd on Sep 04, '02 07:52:57PM

If you could tell it to populate lists in reverse order, it would be perfect for my needs. For example, you could tell it to show you 4.5 GB of songs that have been played the least. That would be pretty perfect for my iPod...

And no, the iPod does not update smart playlists. It's a little too bad, but whatever.

iPod DOES update last played!

Actually, the iPod does update the "last played" tag under 1.2. You just need
to make sure it's set to "auto-sync" for it to work. I use it all the time to generate random playlists. After I've listened to them on my iPod, I sync it to iTunes and get new playlists for the day, all automatically!

However, this feature didn't work all the time at first; songs would update 2 times out of three. Doing a system restore of the iPod fixed the problem.
