Close Safari window without confirmation

What I'd REALLY like is a hack that would cause the regular click of the close button to only close the frontmost tab (without issuing a warning) and the click-with-option-key to do what it does now (close all without warning). Wouldn't that be more intuitive and Mac-like?

Close Safari window without confirmation

No, it wouldn't be more Mac-like. It would be confusing.

When I want to close a tab, I click the close button on the tab. When I want to close the whole window, I click the close button on the window. That's the way it should be, according to Apple's human interface guidelines.
