If you run quicksilver, check the extra scripts folder. It should have "fast" make a trigger for it in quicksilver, and you have a way to lock the keyboard. You can set your energy prefs to turn the monitor off after x minutes, or use the shift-control-eject combo to shut the monitor off immediately.
