Disabling accented characters
Authored by: andrei.ciorba on Jul 16, '09 02:59:12AM

Sorry if this is not the most adequate location to post such a question, but here it goes:

Has anyone find a way to DISABLE the accented character shortcut involving the option key? I'm using the DefaultKeyBinding.dict file in the user's home folder to define certain unicode characters and their corresponding shortcuts and i need to use the option key. Unfortunately defining a shortcut that involves the option key and the "i" key, which creates the circumflex (^), will give me the circumflex and will wait for the next letter to apply the circumflex to instead of using my defined bey binding.

So is there a way to get rid or remap these default bindings for the option key?
