Speed up Indesign printing
Authored by: Andrew J Freyer on Jul 06, '09 11:10:33AM

This shoud only be used for drafts - there are several issues here. For starters, CMYK, pantone, RGB handling differ on embedded files through preview, and default settings in preview will resize the PDF page when printing. Those are both frustrations that I've come accross when using this quicker method. Also, transparencies, as mentioned by another commenter, especially misbehave within EPS files. I've also experienced Font issues.

Printer Packages do not usually include PDFs for many of these reasons. I'd say that for anything beyond drafts, print from InDesign.

For reference, I use CS3.
