The easiest way

Apparently there's a bug in the Finder because if you uncheck "Always Show Suffix" (or whatever it's called in the English Finder, I usually use the German one) in the Finder's preferences then you'll get the translated version. And if you check to always show suffix then you'll get the English version. That simple :-)

Still does not work for me!

I am using the german OS X 10.2 and did update my previous 10.1.5 without archiving anything via the setup.
But "touch .localized" does not work, neither for the App folder nor the other folders like Users or Documents etc.

It is true that turning off to always show suffix in the Finder Prefs makes the localized folders work after i did the "touch .localized" everywhere.
But i found out that the bug only occurs in the Finder windows! My Macintosh HD which i dragged to the Dock is showing the folders in german, but the finder window does only do that when disabling to always show suffix, but i want to always see them, so this is not an option for me.

Anyone got an idea how to solve that problem?

have fun
