Virtually any is a loose definition
I wouldn't say you can access me.com from virtually any browser. For example, the browser on my old Palm phone, or even IE6 which is still used a heck of a lot more than it should be.
Point is, you're out on the town, you notice your iDevice is missing, maybe someone is nice enough to let you use their non-standards compliant cellphone browser or ancient Window 95 laptop to try and find it. It seems like this is trivial for Apple to provide this accessibility on the backend, and we're just suggesting it's good customer relations to do so. Another thought - I wonder if you lose your iDevice if you could call Apple support and ask them to help you find it if you do not have an appropriate browser available to get onto me.com to use the existing service? g=

Good ideas. I think it'd be a useful service if I could use it without having to find a Mac or iPhone/iPod first.
