I tend to agree with the above detractors about this "hint".

By the way, the alternative forms of non alphanumeric characters are usually used in Chinese, Japanese & Korean. They are the "Fullwidth Forms" in Unicode. I don't see the point in including them on the English keyboard, but maybe somebody has a use for them that I don't.
