Cheaper, too. Saves the cost in time and money of adding a door lock if you use what's already on your Mac to keep, um, other typists of all kinds from causing problems.

You could just set your Mac to require a screensaver password, set the screensaver for a short time interval, and, as a bonus, add the Lock icon to the menu bar, so that you can lock the screen when it suits you. The Lock icon can be enabled from within the Keychain Access utility's preferences ("Show status in Menu Bar").

If you use your Mac instead of a door lock, the youngsters can still feel welcome while you protect your Mac, too. Yet another bonus! And Friday's not even over yet.
