Sorry but can you clarify what you mean by 'renaming them'. What is 'them'? Faces? Or the photos? Seems like it would be a lot of work to do either.

you're still performing unnecessary steps by first rejecting all photos. [...] instead, skip that step. just control-click on the pics that aren't a match and rename them. by doing so, they're automatically rejected. no need to manually reject them, first. [...]then after you've eliminated all of the rejects, you can confirm the remaining matches in one fell swoop. This isn't how iPhoto seems to behave for me. If I don't explicitly reject faces, they tend to get suggested again. The fastest workflow I've been able to think of is to explicitly reject them all first (which only takes a few seconds, just option-click and drag a rectangle over all the photos iPhoto suggests), then add back the matches and correct the mismatches. For me, if I omit rejecting the mismatches, then most or all of them will still be there after I click the [Done] button. While it does seem like they'll eventually go away as iPhoto scans for a fresh batch of matched photos, the way I do it feels like it's faster & more responsive -- I get the result I expected right away, rather than possibly-maybe getting that result a few minutes later as new faces start to appear. --- |
