Copy Mail messages to Evernote via AppleScript
oh! okay then. hmm... i foresee terrible trouble with change management issues. where is the authoritative copy kept? where is the linkage? why are there these watermelon seeds in my ears?
Copy Mail messages to Evernote via AppleScript
I would *love* for there to be linkage between the two so that there would be a link to an authoritative copy -- I tried to make it happen and it's clearly the preferable scenario -- but Evernote can't do that...at least, not yet (although I think there are indications that it's on the way).
Not sure if you're interested, but if you want to get into the more technical aspects of the things I tried in an attempt to create a link, let's move the conversation over to the script's page on Veritrope. Maybe you (or another Scripting Guru) could help us make that happen! As written, the way that I think about this script (and the others for NNW, Entourage, etc.) is that it's like sticking a photocopy in a file folder. It's not giving you an "authoritative copy", but it's giving you a snapshot of something at a moment in time. For many people, this is all they need. Combine that with Evernote's ability to assemble and catalog information from many different sources inside it's web-accessible platform and I think the result more than makes up for its current limitations. Kind Regards, Justin P.S. Good luck with those seeds! |
