10.5: Set up a mouse-only Spaces workflow

As dr.vox said "Seemed like a great idea … until I found out I can't middle click to open pages in a new tab any more."
This would be a problem for me too since that middle click is in heavy use.

My solution for the last 18 months has been to set the Mighty Mouse side buttons to Exposé and the lower-right corner to Spaces. This lets me change apps/windows by just squeezing without moving the mouse, and also change Spaces by a quick flick of the cursor.
I set it this way because I use Exposé & Spaces frequently all day, but find I use Exposé slightly more often.
Depending on your use you could also reverse those to make Spaces on the Mouse and put Exposé on the cursor position.

The ability to use both Spaces and Exposé at once is also big productivity boost I find.
I have VMware XP running only in 1 space and my mail & iChat in another. iTunes I have running in all (because I need distraction from the guy humming loudly all day next door!)
