Remap the function keys on a standard PC keyboard

I've been using the macro software Quickeys for several years. After reading and trying this hint, it occurred to me that Quickeys should have a similar function, and it does. I don't have an opinion as to which is best. Just if you're already using Quickeys you can tap into this feature. In my case, I like to use the Fn keys, but also the volume and brightness. Apple only allows FN keys or feature keys. But if I leave them on FN, then define, e.g., F12 to volume up in Quickeys, I can have both.
